A (W)Inter War Walk
Here at Manchester Modernist Society we aren't all about post war Modernism. Manchester has a fine array of buildings from the 1920's and 30's and this walk shall be taking in all the highlights.
The Inter War period saw Manchester city centre moving away from it's industrial roots to the service, retail and commercial mix it is to this day so we shall be looking at (amongst other things) department stores, office blocks and banks.
There is lots to see and this will be slightly longer than our usual walks but we shall have a break half way through and hopefully the weather will be kind. Even so, please dress for the possibly of some October Manchester weather.
Meet at 11am at the Queen Victoria Statue in Piccadilly Gardens - opposite Morrisons / Travelodge
Ful price 3.50 / MMS Members & concs £2.50
