Wake-Up Call : Andrew Jackson

Exhibition Launch

For those who could afford it, Sheffield’s Trusthouse Forte hotels were the only places to stay and be seen- David Bowie, no less, would supposedly always insist on staying at the Hallam Tower when visiting the city. With the Hallam Tower now mainly occupied by pigeons and urban explorers and Grosvenor House being very publicly flattened, urbanist Andrew Jackson’s new exhibition Wake-Up Call checks you in at the Bank Street Hotel for a remembrance of these lost futures and a slowly-vanishing Sheffield.

Consisting of two very different representations of each hotel in their varying states of demolition, one paused and one in progress, Wake-Up Call opens on 22nd March. The show will be one of six exhibitions that you’ll be able to see in an open event that’s taking place on Friday 31st March from 6pm.

Open evening event: Friday 31st March from 6pm | Free admission

Exhibition continues: 22nd March- 1st April

Venue: Bank Street Arts, 32-40 Bank Street, Sheffield, S1 2DS
