Ardwick Mooch

Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures and we have managed to persuade Eddy to come out of retirement and lead a walk.

We shall have a mooch around a part of Manchester that surprisingly we haven’t mooched around before but is jammed packed (sort of) with 20th century wonders.

Hotels that became offices that became hotels, concrete walls, motorways, fizzy pop, cinemas, bus stations, mail order catalogues and a forgotten graveyard where Manchester’s great and good were buried.

As with all our COVID era walks only 6 people are allowed to attend so this we be done via a random lottery - with initial priority going Modernist Society members.

Please email eddy@modernist-society.org with your name and whether you are a member before midday on Monday and we will select people at random.

From 11 am until 1 pm Saturday 24th October 2020 - £9 regular price / £7 members

For the safety of attendees, and in-line with current advice, these tours are limited to six attendees. We ask you to wear a face covering, and please keep your distance from others (face coverings and hand sanitiser will be made available). The tour leader will clarify and offer further advice on the day. Enjoy the tour, and it's good to be back!
