Jo Stanness and Eugene Schlumberger share an interest in the geometry, shape and form present in the urban or suburban environment; they both work with what they find.
For Jo, the photographs of mostly brutal and modern architecture provide a catalyst for the exploration of geometry and composition, following the lines and angles within the architecture itself.
Eugene’s photographs document found compositions – in the case of aspect:ratio, these are geometric, almost graphic compositions, brought about by their purely functional design.
Having both published books with The Modernist Society in 2021, Jo Stanness and Eugene Schlumberger now show their work together through November and December.
